As the end of another year approaches and, in the midst of this holiday season, we are reminded of the importance of family and friends. No matter what this holiday time means to you, whether it is celebrating the birth of Christ or simply a time to celebrate family, it is extremely difficult not to be caught up in the excitement of the season.
Pause and take a moment to celebrate what is important to you and reflect on the highlights of the year gone by. Keep them in mind for the New Year. It is a platform on which to build and grow.
There are those in our communities who are not as fortunate as ourselves. They have issues with health and unemployment and are reliant on others for support. Many have no family that can assist or be with them at this time of year. To them this season is especially stressful.
The true ‘Angels’ of this season are those who work with, donate, and give of their time to assist the less fortunate. Their support has a profound impact on people’s lives and our communities and for the most part, remains hidden from our view. We are grateful for the ‘Angels’ in our communities and give thanks for their presence. If you know an ‘Angel’, give them a hug and let them know you care and appreciate what they do!
We, at Laurence Rumming Assessments, wish everyone a happy, healthy New Year, especially the ‘Angels’!
