Sitting in the half light of morning, watching the wind-driven waves crashing over the rocks and listening to the sound of the rain pelting on the tin walls of the Terrace Beach Resort in Ucluelet I am writing my latest blog. The otherwise quiet solitude of the magnificent forest, draped in lichen from the humid environment, is only interrupted by the persistent sound of the fog horn.
Missing is the hurry and hustle of the daily life in the city. For me, as an introvert, it is a time to rebuild, grow and recharge to face the more extroverted life in my reality tomorrow.
This is a reminder to me and to all personality types. We must understand and pay attention to what our needs are related to our personality type preferences and take the time to step back and honour our gifts. If we don’t, there is a chance we will pay the price in unnecessary stress and conflict.
