Do You Have Angry Employees? You’re Lucky!

This means you still have the opportunity to explore changing the situation.  The real danger to organizations is when the employee is no longer expressing anger.  Because no one listened, they have resolved to stay on and do just enough work to continue getting their paycheque but you have really lost an employee.  They will be an impediment to moving forward in the business, affect and infect customers, clients, and fellow employees.

You need to pay close attention to the culture that is developing in your organization and address any issues that arise.  ‘Listen to the whispers and you won’t have to hear the screams’ – Native American Proverb.  If you aren’t the ‘safe’ ear for your employees, make sure that there is someone who is and can filter and respond to the issues. Developing a culture of openness and transparency has huge benefits in the workplace.
