Approaching Winter’s Door

Ahh…The first frosty days telling us that indeed, it is Fall! Crisp nights, the fresh dew in the mornings and the changing palate of colour on the landscape and the leaves layering the ground.  The kids are back in school and the stories of Summer vacations have fading in the hallways at work.

There is a rebirth in our relationships with everyone because of what has transpired over the past few months and our interactions and reactions to those events. Our ability to understand and communicate with others is crucial, not only from the point of view of social interaction, but our need to articulate our ideas, emotions, and perform our life work, whatever that may be.

Our ability to communicate effectively depends on how information is received and how it is presented. Personality type plays a significant role in this whether it is face-to-face or written communication. Just as we have individual tastes when it comes to the music we prefer to listen to, we will shut out communication that does not meet our taste or values, or its presentation .  Some of us like rock, others the classics and still others like rap!
