Who holds the key to your future? You may not like the answer…It rests solely with you.
Your positive attitude, determination, and drive all contribute to success in what you put your mind to.
I attended a Rotary District Training Assembly in Centralia Washington over the weekend and met some of the Pacific Northwest’s most successful entrepreneurs and business people.
The one thing that was striking in the conversations was the lack of negativity. They did not complain about fuel costs, their employees, government regulations, etc., they talked excitedly about the new directions they were taking, the new opportunities they saw in the changing landscape.
At the hotel I met a contractor from Anchorage Alaska, in town for a heavy equipment auction. Fifty percent of his business was snow removal in the winter and development projects in the summer. Anchorage only got 20% of its normal snowfall, which gave him the time to attend the auctions to better prepare for the upcoming construction season, a positive for his business.
Look around your community at the successful people. They are not the ones who wonder what happened, they are the ones who make it happen…with a positive attitude.
