Are you a ‘what-is’ person?

I tend to be and strive hard to move away from it but it is difficult.  To those of us who are Sensing we are grounded by what we can taste, touch, hear, see and smell’.  We live in the world of ‘what-is’.  Looking at the future and possibilities does not come easily.

There are times when I would love to be an Intuitive and even more times when I would like to understand them.  It is an experience to be in a conversation that suddenly changes direction sometimes losing the listener, but rich with fascinating ideas that springboard from those conversations.  Every board or management team needs one or two Intuitive members.

I sat on board many years ago that had two Intuitives on it and the ideas that came forward really changed the organization and direction it took.  Having said that it was also good that there were Sensing members on the board to throw out the anchor every now and then and bring reality into the room!

Each has its place in life and work and the ‘what-is’ has served me well.  For me there is a little envy so I will just have to hang-out with the Intuitives and learn to open my mind to ‘what-if’.
